Job Description

The Office of Supervision is responsible for evaluating full-time and visiting faculty members of the university. In the promotion and status conversion stages of the university's full-time faculty, it prepares their teaching quality forms based on the available information. It plans and manages the internal and external evaluation of the university's academic departments.

Also, the secretariat of the Provincial Higher Education Supervision and Evaluation Board is located in this office.

In line with decentralization in some affairs and activities of the Ministry of Science, it was approved in 2007 that the task of supervising and evaluating higher education institutions be carried out provincially, and that there be a board in each province responsible for supervising higher education institutions in that province. In 2008, the regulations for the formation of provincial higher education supervision and evaluation boards were approved, and the members of these boards were appointed by the order of the Deputy Minister of Education for a period of three years, and the secretariat of the provincial supervision board was established at the province's parent university.

The Provincial Supervision Board, as the authorized representative of the Ministry of Science's supervision and evaluation system, is responsible for inspecting, supervising, and evaluating higher education institutions in the province, reviewing the current situation, strengths, weaknesses, potential and actual facilities of the institutions, and preparing reports on their performance, and pursues these goals by sending visiting groups to the institutions. Usually, a visit to each institution is conducted once a year, and the results and information obtained from these visits are collected in the secretariat of the Provincial Supervision Board. While preparing a database of the higher education situation in the province, it is possible to make decisions regarding the establishment of new fields of study, the admission of students in the required fields and different levels, considering the potential of each institution, attracting the required faculty members, and striving to solve the problems and deficiencies of the institutions at a macro level. The results of the evaluation of higher education institutions, after final review by the Provincial Supervision Board, are sent to the Office of Supervision and Evaluation of Higher Education in a specific format, and this information will be used in the Council for the Expansion of Higher Education, which is the authority for allocating new fields of study to higher education institutions. The secretariat of the Lorestan Province Higher Education Supervision and Evaluation Board is located in the University's Office of Supervision and Evaluation. In addition to supervising the province's higher education institutions, the Provincial Supervision Board is responsible for addressing complaints from higher education institutions and supervising the relocation of non-profit institutions.
