The meeting of the Council for Supervision, Evaluation, and Quality Assurance of Higher Education in Lorestan was held.

The system of issues in higher education in Lorestan province was discussed in the meeting of the Supervisory Council for Evaluation and Quality Assurance of the Higher Education System of the province.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the meeting of this council was held on Saturday, March 16th of the current year, chaired by Dr. Ali Mir, Vice President for Education and Graduate Studies of Lorestan University and Secretary of the Council, with the presence of the heads and representatives of the universities of Lorestan province, hosted by the Office of the President of Lorestan University.

Dr. Davood Mirzaeifar, Secretary of the Supervisory Council for Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education in Lorestan province, presented some of the most important issues of the higher education system in Lorestan province in this meeting, including:

_ Financial and credit problems and the shortage of some equipment and facilities.

_ Sufficient attention should be paid to the regionalization of higher education at the provincial level.

_ In higher education institutions of the province, the issue of problem identification is very important and sufficient attention should be paid to it.

_ The quality of research should be increased.

_ Sufficient attention has not been paid to the preparation of a strategic plan for higher education centers in the province; each center should have a strategic plan.

In this meeting, Dr. Mirzaeifar presented a report based on the statistics of the number of faculty members and students of the higher education system of Lorestan province and an analytical report of each center based on the explanation of issues and problems.

Each of the heads and representatives of the universities and higher education centers of Lorestan province also presented a report on the current situation of the relevant university and center.
